Any number of crazy things happen, including the selection lines moving and the beret staying put, or vice versa. As long as the group or a layer within it is active when you create a new (text) layer, this will happen automatically. Then add either add the existing (text) layers to the groups, or create new ones in them. I've tried alt shift and arrow keys, I've tried dragging with the mouse. I would make your current layers into layer groups, and name them appropriately (e.g. ![]() So what would be good is to be able to move the selected or cut out beret. I rub the eraser around the beret and there is no visible change. When I try with the eraser nothing happens.
